“It’s just a unique opportunity to have all of the nonprofits in our area together, but also it’s a conference that focuses directly on the needs that they have so that they could be more successful,” said Kayla White, executive director of the Southeast Texas Nonprofit Development Center.

The event will feature keynote speaker Kenny Lange, a strategic coach and consultant who will present on developing strategic plans for nonprofits. Additional breakout sessions will cover grant writing, funding strategies and team development.

Registration is $75 for center members and $150 for non-members. The organization welcomes nonprofit leaders, those interested in entering the nonprofit sector, philanthropists and community funders. Registration is available at SETXnonprofit.org.

The conference will also recognize Josh Davis of Legacy Community Health with the Community Impact Award. The award honors individuals nominated by the community for their significant contributions to local organizations and causes.

“Nonprofit work is very difficult, and it’s a great way to celebrate that as well,” White said.

The Southeast Texas Nonprofit Development Center hosts the conference every other year to support the region’s nonprofit sector.
