Former football player Chad Ochocinco Johnson is a notorious hustler, regardless that his net value is estimated at $15 million. Last 12 months, he showed the world how he helped his fiancée, Sharelle Rosado, lower your expenses by braiding her hair.
Now the host of his social media-streamed podcast “Nightcap” is giving his pals a tip on how to lower your expenses — even when you’ve got a high-maintenance woman in your life.
In a video posted to Instagram, the previous athlete, who earned nearly $47 million in various NFL salaries, will be seen filing Rosado’s nails. Holding sandpaper in his hand, Johnson asked, “Want to avoid wasting money? Learn how to do your girlfriend’s nails. I do not care what anyone says. I do not care how much money you’ve got. In this economy, one less expense is not a foul thing.
“I’m doing my baby nails,” he continued. “We don’t make acrylic anymore, ba… ch. We are making gel X.”
Johnson said the common Gel X manicure costs about $100, and if she does it twice a month, that is about $2,400 a 12 months. The 46-year-old justified that it was cold money that would stay in her boyfriend’s pocket.
To make his clip even funnier, he he wrote in his caption that “it’s available for service and the full Gel X kit is only $50 during Ramadan.”
“Guys, I would advise you to be careful to find ways to eliminate expenses, especially when it comes to the maintenance and support of your woman during these economic hardships, considering the expenses,” he continued. “Even if you are rich and you add up how much you will save in 12 months if you learn the basic things. Serious inquiries only, don’t waste my time, I can’t get it back.”
Fans on social media were quick to comment on Johnson’s money-saving skills.
“Lmfaoooo this man is hilarious,” one person wrote on their Instagram post. “So serious.”
Others compared him to other misers in black popular culture, saying, “Chad is the real Jason Pitts” and “He’s Julius and Jason Pitts rolled into one, although I respect that.”

The character of Jason Pitts comes from the hit TV show “The Game”. The series centered around members of the fictional Saber football team, resembling Pitts, a former team captain known for his frugality, played by Cody Bell.
Terry Crews played Julius from Everybody Hates Chris, who was also known for his decisiveness. Their status for frugality became so well-known that TikTokkers and X users began joking about their frugal habits.

The women seemed to like the thought of their man connecting with them, including two who wrote: “I wish my man could do my nails. I actually hate the nail salon. It’s not fun or relaxing at all” and “It actually looks like a nice bonding experience.”
The former Cincinnati Bengals goalie didn’t stop there. Johnson did his girlfriend’s hair, including makeup and bouncy curls on her natural hair, using a curling iron in a separate video. Rosado once showed that her man allegedly not only put her in waist-length “bundles”, but in addition straightened her hair.
“See that? That’s inches, s— ,” he joked. “I’m not lying.”
This also is not the primary time fans have learned that Ochocinco has dabbled in salons and spas. In 2023, he announced on Instagram that he was braiding his beloved’s hair.

Whether Johnson is serious or not, his DIY posts seem to be branding, and his Selling Tampa co-star, who he has been working with since 2020, loves all of it. Every time she posts certainly one of these videos, you’ll be able to see her giggling and having the cutest smile.
But Ochocino just isn’t at all times low cost. Recently he decided he screwed up half one million in money on his birthday last January – just to see what it felt like.
