McLeod (suspension) agreed to terms on a three-year contract with KHL club Avangard Omsk, per The Athletic on Thursday.
McLeod was reportedly working on a deal with the Hurricanes, yet nothing ever came to fruition. Technically, the 27-year-old center’s deal could have an NHL release clause, but the fact that he agreed to a three-year contract likely means he won’t be back in the NHL when his suspension is up in December.
