Entering this game, Cincinnati sits in a four-way tie atop the Big 12 standings with a 2-0 conference record. The Bearcats are 4-1 overall on the season. UCF, meanwhile, is still in search of its first conference win, going 0-2 in Big 12 play despite being 3-2 overall.
UCF picked up a big 34-9 non-conference win over North Carolina, but the team was unable to parlay that into Big 12 momentum, dropping a 34-20 game to Kansas State, followed by a 27-20 game to Kansas.
Cincinnati opened the season with a 20-17 loss to Nebraska but has reeled off four wins in a row since, including a huge 38-30 win over Iowa State last weekend. The team built a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and led by as much as 31-7 in the second quarter before Iowa State mounted a failed comeback attempt.
