Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!

There’s a new episode of “Saturday Night Live” premiering on Saturday, Oct. 11. Amy Poehler is set to host with musical guest Role Model.

Poehler was an “SNL” cast member from 2001-2008 and served as a Weekend Update co-anchor from 2004-2008. She hasn’t been back to host since 2015, when she cohosted with Tina Fey. The Oct. 11 episode will mark the “SNL” debut of singer-songwriter Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury.

The Oct. 11 episode comes as Poehler’s new “Good Hang” podcast continues to dominate the podcast charts. Role Model, whose sophomore album “Kansas Anymore” came out in 2024, is set to star in Lena Dunham’s upcoming romantic comedy “Good Sex.”

In a promo for this week’s episode of “SNL,” Poehler meets new cast members Veronika Slowikowska, Kam Patterson, and Jeremy Culhane. After pretending to go way back with each of them, Poehler admits that she has no idea who they are.

“I’m nervous [about hosting]. I’m very nervous, and when I’m nervous, I make things up, and I get face blindness and I point my fingers around a lot,” Poehler quips before pointing to a plant and saying, “This guy knows what I’m talking about.”

Slowikowska, Culhane, and Patterson joined the cast for season 51 alongside fellow newbies Tommy Brennan and Ben Marshall. “SNL” viewers know Marshall as a member of Please Don’t Destroy, which produced digital shorts for the sketch comedy show for seasons 47-50.

There was plenty of space for the newcomers after five “SNL” cast members — Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodim — left the show ahead of season 51.

Poehler’s “SNL” episode comes one week after Bad Bunny helmed the show with musical guest Doja Cat. Sabrina Carpenter is set to pull double duty on Saturday, Oct. 18.

“Saturday Night Live” airs on NBC on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET. Past episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
