SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Food Pize is kicking off its festivities, and finalists will be determined and then battle it out for the Golden Fork.

On Oct. 15, Prize Fest festivities have kicked off for the 2025 year. Food Prize begins at the Remington Hotel, 220 Travis Street, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Food Prize: Come & Get It!

Six local chefs, semi-finalists, have been paired with celebrity mentors as they compete to create the best dishes.

Attendees will get the chance to taste each dish and cast a vote on the best.

Cocktail artists will also be pouring unique drinks for sampling and vote to determine the Golden Shaker award.

During the event, three finalists will be selected by the judges and attendees’ vote.

Food Prize: Celebrity Chef BBQ

A special event will be held on Oct. 17 where three celebrity chefs, including top chef winner Tristen Epps-Long, will unite to create a unique, down-home BBQ mains, sides, and desserts for attendees.

Battle for the Golden Fork

Then on Oct. 18, the main event, Battle for the Golden Fork, will be held on the streets of downtown Shreveport. The three finalists will compete in a live cooking contest to determine who will come out on top.

Finalist chefs will have 45 minutes to cook a brand new dish from scratch with a secret ingredient in front of a cheering crowd and judges.
