The embattled singer named multiple legends and superstars he doesn’t believe can sing

Embattled R&B singer and songwriter Kevin McCall may have dug himself an even deeper hole than he one he’s already in after publicly sobbing that he’s financially broke.

On the same “Back on Figg” podcast where McCall made a public spectacle of himself, the former boyfriend of model and actress Eva Marcille said he does not believe the following people can sing:

McCall stuns by listing those he says who can’t sing

“Patti [LaBelle] can’t sing,” McCall shared before running down a list of names of who he believes are non-singers. “Mary J. Blige can’t sing, Keyshia Cole can’t sing, Keith Sweat can’t sing, Alicia Keys cannot sing and is pitch/tone deaf…”

Astoundingly, McCall had the audacity to say that he’s “a fan” of the artists he claimed cannot sing. Stunned into temporary silence, the podcast hosts wonder which vocalists of modern times earned his approval.

Who Kevin McCall thinks can sing

“T-Pain can sing without autotune,” McCall said. “Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Monica,” he declared before crowning B-Rocka his favorite of the bunch. “Mario – he corny – but he can sing.”

One of the podcast hosts was incredulous that McCall would say that the likes of LaBelle, Sweat, Cole and Keys could not sing.

“I’ve never heard that,” he said.

Fans slam Kevin McCall

Many fans torpedoed to their social media accounts in order to pummel McCall for his flagrant act of disrespect to some of the most beloved and accomplished singers of the modern era.

  • “His pockets can’t sing.”
  • “We Not gonna Play with Patti like that button—>.”
  • “He never coming outta poverty now 😭.”
  • “He about 5 seconds from singing for some spare change.”
  • “Alicia Keys being tone deaf got me weak asf 😂.”
  • “They can pay for they groceries thooooooooo.”
  • “Saying Patti Labelle can’t sing is a CRIME against humanity . At 81 years old , she’s still singing DOWN & touring 🙄 please.”
  • “AND NONE OF THEM HAVE EBT CARDS OR CRIED ON PODCASTS!”
  • “How you hatin from outside of the club, when you can’t even get in??”

One person did summarize the sentiments of a minority of viewers who said, “Real singers know some of the people he named he ain’t lyn about 🙃.”

McCall sobs on the podcast

McCall’s thoughts were shared on the same episode where he crashed out and sobbed about being broke because his past songwriting credits no longer pay the bills. McCall claimed that Chris Brown, whom he says he cowrote the smash hit “Deuces,” owes him $25,000.

Near destitution, McCall had to go and apply for food stamps. He showed his EBT card to the podcast hosts and its audience before slamming it down and breaking down in tears.

Chris Brown laughs at Kevin McCall’s pain

It has been widely reported that Brown and McCall had a falling out since that time, more than a decade ago, when they created sonic gold with “Deuces” and other hits. According to “The Breakfast Club,” McCall threatened to take out Breezy and his daughter, which is an unpardonable sin to Brown.

Therefore, when Breezy learned of what travails McCall these days, Brown mocked his financial insolvency.

“Remember this: you can’t walk across a burnt bridge,” Breezy shared his cryptic message with his 144 million Instagram followers. “And you know what’s funnier than a troll? A broke one.”
