BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) — Auchinachie Services continued its support of local organizations Tuesday with a donation to Faith in Action Volunteers.

Faith in Action Volunteers help seniors in Broome County stay independently in their homes by delivering groceries, running errands, taking them to the doctor’s office and more.

As part of Auchinachie’s ongoing community service initiatives, the volunteer operation received a $1,000 check.

Program Director Sue Spencer said the program consists of 100 volunteers who help more than 150 clients across the county.

“Our seniors, a lot of them are isolated, so we provide some different programming to help them get out and see other people and get a little bit of socialization,” said Spencer.

Spencer expressed gratitude and said the funding will uplift the organization’s mission.
