PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Bay Faith and Blue is hosting a weekend of community and fellowship.

On October 11th,, there will be a community basketball game followed by refreshments, a movie, and popcorn at Jinks Middle School. The game will run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the movie is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is free, and all are welcome. To register, email [email protected].

On October 12th, Faith & Blue is asking you to invite a deputy to worship with you and give him/her a quick 10-15 minutes to introduce themselves to your congregation.

What is Faith & Blue?

Faith and Blue is a national initiative aimed at bridging the gap between communities and law enforcement. The organization strives to build connections through events hosted by law enforcement and houses of worship.

This will be the 3rd annual celebration by Bay Faith & Blue. The events take place during National Faith & Blue Weekend every October.

How can you participate?

To participate in the basketball game on October 11, assemble your top 5-7 players and email [email protected].

To invite a deputy to your church on October 12, contact [email protected].

What if you can’t participate in the basketball game?

Pick a team and cheer them on! Come for free popcorn and community fellowship (followed be a free movie)!

Faith & Blue says any date in October will work! Whether it’s a church service, Bible study, or prayer meeting, they want the opportunity to connect with you.
