SELMA — Lorie Jones, general manager of Old North State Food Hall, invited members of Activate Selma and the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce to a ribbon-cutting marking the official opening of Pat Thai, now serving Asian fusion cuisine at Old North State Food Hall, 67 JR Road, I-95, Exit 97 in Selma.

Owners Apple and Bobby Ray Stone opened Pat Thai to positive feedback from customers, reflected in Google reviews. One review, submitted by Gerardo Gaytan on Oct. 19, 2025, captures the experience:

“The pho was flavorful, hot and made to order. It had the perfect level of spice and was absolutely delicious. The lady, who I believe was the owner or manager, was incredibly kind. After I placed my order, she asked if I wanted to add a meatball. Later, she checked in to see how everything was and even brought over fresh basil to add to the pho. The food and hospitality made this a phenomenal experience. I highly recommend stopping by this Thai spot in the food hall.”

Pat Thai joins Aroma de Cuba, Luna Pizza, Mr. Outrageous Gourmet Burgers and Hot Dogs, Spice Me Up Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine, White Swan BBQ and Fried Chicken, and Longleaf Tavern, which offers a full-service bar and a unique events venue accommodating groups of all sizes. Catering is available on-site through Johnston County’s favorite caterer, Provisions.

“We can’t wait to serve our authentic Thai dishes, as well as Asian fusion favorites, to our new customers at Old North State Food Hall,” said Apple Stone, chef and owner.

The 15,000-square-foot food hall offers a variety of cuisines to locals as well as leisure and business travelers. Located at the East Coast’s halfway point between Portland, Maine, and Miami, Florida, Old North State Food Hall is easily accessible from I-95.
