* First Missionary Baptist Church, Hayneville invites community members to join them in celebrating Bishop Aaron D. and Lady Tommie J. McCall for their 25th pastor’s anniversary and 50th year in ministry Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. at the old Kingdom Hall, 104 Woodland Drive with guest speaker Thomas Brown. Celebration services are set for Oct. 19 11 a.m. with Overseer Darlene Pettis and at 1:30 p.m. with guest speaker James Nuckles.
* Imago Dei Church at the 4Five will celebrate its fourth anniversary Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. The congregation invites community members to join them to celebrate God’s faithfulness through worship, prayer and thanksgiving.
* Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 2989 Double Church Road in Tyler will host its 140th year church anniversary and homecoming service Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. The congregation invites community members to join them for this glorious occasion.
* Fort Deposit Methodist Church will host a homecoming service featuring guest speaker, Dr. John Ed Mathison Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. Come celebrate over 165 years of ministry with the congregation.
* Lily Missionary Baptist Church in Letohatchee invites all choirs, groups and soloists to the Annual Choir Day Celebration Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
* Mt. Carmel Methodist Church and Cool Springs Cemetery will host a turkey shoot at Seller’s Station Water System, 1473 Pettus Road in Lapine Nov. 1 beginning at 9 a.m. until turkeys, hams, cakes and more run out. Cost is $5 per shot. Raffle tickets will be sold at $6 each, 2 for $10 or 5 for $20. First prize: $350 cash, second prize: chest freezer, third prize: $100 cash and fourth prize: $50 cash. Hamburger/hot dog lunch will be available for purchase.
* Imago Dei Church will host a free fall festival Nov. 1, 4 – 6 p.m. Games, food, face painting, music and pumpkin painting will be featured at the event.
* St Clair Assembly of God at 886 US Highway 80 East invites all to join the congregation every Sunday morning from 10:45 a.m. until noon to hear Pastor Gary Dopson preach the Word of God and on Wednesday nights from 6 – 7 p.m. for Bible Study on various subjects. Coffee will be available.
