In 2023, Faithful Give raised more than $700,000 during its inaugural fundraiser for Christian nonprofits that serve Lancaster County.

Last year, Faithful Give doubled that amount, with more than 2,800 donors contributing more than $1.4 million during the three-day event.

This year, according to Faithful Give President David Kieffer, there is no specific goal for how much money event organizers hope to raise, but he said, “God has consistently surpassed our expectations each year.”

The Faithful Give, which kicks off Sunday, is a community fundraiser exclusively benefiting Christian nonprofits whose missions align with specific beliefs and values within the Christian faith tradition. For a complete list of those beliefs and values and a link to their biblical references, visit faithfulgive.org/about.

This year, the number of “Kingdom Causes” seeking donations — organizations that “advance Jesus’ Kingdom” — has expanded by about 25% to 129. They include private Christian schools, outreach ministries and organizations like the Pennsylvania Family Institute, a religious liberty advocacy organization that has worked with local public school boards to craft policies that restrict LGBTQ+ students and help school officials remove library books that contain content that does not align with specific Christian values.

Last year, Homes for Hope led all nonprofits with more than $200,000 in donations. The organization partners with companies in the building industry to invest profits from construction projects into communities in need worldwide.

Faithful Give officially begins at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, and the event winds down Tuesday with a family-friendly Celebration Expo from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dove Westgate Church, 1755 W. Main St. (Route 322), in Clay Township. Representatives of the participating nonprofits will be on hand at the expo to connect with donors and explain their causes.
