The longtime feud between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez — who dated the same guy and are both billionaire beauty moguls — appears to be alive and well.
The model — who went on to marry Justin Bieber in 2018 shortly after he and Gomez ended things for good — seemingly dissed the actress in a recent interview with WSJ Magazine.
When asked whether she feels competitive now that her Rhode products are being sold at Sephora alongside Gomez’s Rare Beauty products, Hailey replied, “I think there is space for everybody.”
However, she added shadily, “I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.”
The interviewer then asked whether she was nervous that Sephora shoppers might compare the two brands, but before she could respond, her publicist instructed her not to.
“It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that,” Hailey, 28, later noted.
“When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.”
In June, eagle-eyed Instagram users noticed that Hailey and Gomez — who married Benny Blanco last month — were no longer following each other on the social media platform after doing so in 2023 during a period of peace and harmony.
In fact, the year prior, the mother of one insisted that it was “all love” between her and Gomez, who even once publicly asked her fans to “stop” cyberbullying Hailey.
Shortly after, the girls went viral for posing for pictures together at the Academy Music Gala.
During their time of online friendship, Hailey “liked” Gomez’s engagement announcement, and the songstress, 33, returned the favor when Hailey landed her first Vogue cover.
However, they seem to be at odds once again.
Reps for the stars did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
