Even more eyes will be on Jacksonville State this Wednesday.
The broadcast for Jax State’s home matchup against Delaware has been elevated from ESPN2 to ESPN, Conference USA announced Saturday afternoon.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at AmFirst Stadium in Jacksonville.
This will be the first regular-season matchup on ESPN for Jax State since Aug. 27, 2022, when the Gamecocks beat Stephen F. Austin 42-17 in the FCS Kickoff at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
Conference USA’s last regular-season game on ESPN was a matchup of Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech in 2023.
Veteran sportscaster Clay Matvick will provide play-by-play on the broadcast and will be joined by color commentator Chase Daniel, who starred at quarterback for Missouri before a 14-year NFL career.
Jax State is 3-3 overall and 2-0 in CUSA play after a close 29-26 victory over Sam Houston on Thursday. Delaware is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in CUSA after a close 27-24 loss to first-place WKU on Friday, Oct. 3.
