As part of the show’s famed “Plead the Fifth” segment, host Andy Cohen asked her about the alleged DMs exchanged between Alex Rodriguez and Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy in 2021, when Lopez and Rodriguez were still engaged.

Lopez played coy with her response, telling Cohen that she had “nothing to say about my personal life anymore.”
Jennifer Lopez was asked point blank about rumors that her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez cheated on her—and she had an interesting response to the question.
While appearing in a champagne-colored mididress on the October 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Lopez was asked by host Andy Cohen during the show’s famed “Plead the Fifth” segment if it was true that Rodriguez, who Lopez was engaged to at the time, was DMing Madison LeCroy, one of the cast members of Southern Charm.
Lopez furrowed her brow, rubbed her hands together, and began her response with, “Okay.”
“You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore,” Lopez replied. “I feel like it’s…I’m done with that.”
To this, the audience in the WWHL clubhouse began applauding, and a relieved Lopez said in response, “Yes! Support! Support!”
In 2021, rumors spread that Rodriguez had allegedly been DMing with LeCroy after the reality star said she was “DMing” with an “ex-MLB player” during the Southern Charm reunion though she said she’d “never seen him [or] touched him.” Lopez and Rodriguez ended their engagement three months later in April 2021, and not long after, she reconciled with ex Ben Affleck, who she’d go on to marry the next year (and divorce two years after that).
In 2023, LeCroy said on the “Pillows and Beer” podcast that the former baseball player would frequently FaceTime her and offered to fly her to Miami several times. “I told [Rodriguez], I said, ‘If you’re looking for a side chick,’ which clearly he was, ‘it wasn’t gonna be me,’” she said. “I’m wifey material.” LeCroy herself ultimately married in 2022.
At the time, Rodriguez’s rep told Page Six, “Her 15 minutes of fame are up, and she is trying to get a 16th minute. Please stop wasting everyone’s time with these false narratives. They were false two years ago and continue to be false.”
For his part, Cohen defended asking the question on Wednesday night because, as Southern Charm airs on Bravo, the “Bravo-verse would kill” him if he didn’t ask the question.
Lopez and Rodriguez started dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in 2019; when they broke up in 2021, they released a joint statement saying, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.”
After their split, LeCroy told Page Six, simply, “I wish them the best.”
