KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City police teamed up with local churches this weekend to help build bridges and break down biases between law enforcement and the community through the National Faith and Blue Weekend.
The initiative features several events focused on connecting residents with police officers in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. Sunday’s “Party Palooza” offered attendees plenty of food and family fun, complete with bounce houses, clowns and face painting.
Two additional Faith and Blue events are scheduled for Monday. Community members can attend “Burger with a Badge” at the Westport Flea Market or “Pumpkins and Pasta” at Northside Christian Church.
