She may be a comedic genius, but nothing makes Keke Palmer laugh harder than her 2-year-old son Leodis “Leo.” The Nope star just shared the sweetest video of her laughing with her son, who she shares with ex Darius Jackson, and the bubbly laughter is contagious.
“Omg I think my baby is a performer yall! Hahahahahah!!! Yall see him putting on for the camera???” Palmer wrote on Instagram on Monday. In the video, Palmer sits in a chair after getting her hair and makeup done, with Leo on her lap. The little cutie is wearing a Gucci t-shirt and orange pants with his hair in braids as they attempt to take photos. Leo laughs in the loudest, exaggerated chuckle we’ve ever heard, making his mom burst out laughing in response.

He says, “ah, ha, ha, HA!” while kicking his feet and peeking at his mom to get her reaction. In between giggles, Palmer catches her breath enough to say, “I can’t stop laughing.” Uh, we don’t blame her at all!
In her caption, the Good Fortune actress got vulnerable about raising her child as a single mom. “This is to all my mother’s doing it on their own. Not as a moment of pity or as a badge of hardship because being a mother is difficult, period,” she wrote in part, adding that she’s had a “really hard week.”
“The point I’m making is the point I try to make to myself: You are doing good. You are capable. Your baby does love you. Your sacrifices are accounted for. God is with you. Your prayers will be answered, keep praying. God is with you. You are more than what you do for others,” she wrote. “If no one has your back know that God does and that your baby is your greatest reflection of that. Don’t give up on you you’re worth it. … You are allowed to have a bad day, a bad week, a bad month and it’s okay if our babies see that. It’s okay that they see we are human and we communicate our feelings. I would see my mom sad, I would see my dad sad, I watched them be human and I think I’m a better person because of it.”
People showed support for Palmer in the comments. “Too. Cute,” Vanessa Hudgens wrote.
“He stole your WHOLE FACE 🥹🥹🥹🥹we love you keke , you are so neeeded in this world,” another wrote.
Someone else said, “Omg!!! He is the cutest thing ever!!! That laugh is infectious!”
In August, at the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture, Palmer gave working moms advice. “Don’t feel guilt,” she told Parents. “Your child is your child because you were meant to be their parent. And as a working parent, it could be really, really hard because you’re wondering like, ‘Damn, is this good for me and my child?’ But the reality is, if you got to work, you got to work. Just don’t feel guilt where it pertains to receiving help with your child, because it takes a village.”
It’s clear that being a working mom doesn’t affect Leo’s love and admiration for his mama, and we love seeing them so happy.
