When it comes to fashion and beauty, Keke Palmer is not one to shy away from experimenting. However, not all of her past choices would necessarily get her stamp of approval today, and she’s opening up about them in a new Actually Me video with GQ.

In the video, Palmer takes a minute to comb through her very extensive digital footprint, stopping at a look she considers the “most embarrassing.” While the question was not necessarily about style, but generally about the most embarrassing thing she’s ever done, Palmer did not hesitate to take it there.

“Look up the pictures of me at Comic-Con,” she said, referring to her 2016 appearance at the San Diego International Comic-Con in honor of Scream Queens. If you need visual proof, here’s the look:

“I look like a Mortal Kombat character. Hair shaved all around, I have one braid. One singular braid,” Palmer said between muted laughs. “The fact that the girls never told me to look in a mirror… They hated me secretly.”

Though it might not be her favorite, Palmer still found good things to say about it. “She was bold, she was fierce, she was unafraid, she was fashion,” she said, breaking down in laughter towards the end. “Whatever look I was down for, I went full throttle,” she added of her past self. However, her experimentation days seem to be over, at least beauty-wise. “Imma let y’all know today, I’m never letting this copper go,” she added, pointing to the hair color she debuted in January 2025. “She’s not leaving.”
