What are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry really like behind closed doors, you ask? Well, Markle just gave us a little sneak peak.
The couple have been in New York City this weekend for Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival. On October 9, the duo made a rare joint red carpet appearance, posing hand-in-hand in matching black suits. Very cute. Even cuter, however, was what was going on behind-the-scenes. In a new Instagram Story, the As Ever founder shared a clip of her and her husband cracking up in a room while taking a moment for themselves during the event. In the video, Harry appears to be reading under the light of a lamp. When Harry says something to Markle, she throws her head back with laughter.
“Happy World Mental Health Day… to the man who always keeps me laughing,” she wrote in white text over the video.
The couple had a few cute moments during the public portion of the evening, too, sharing a few sweet PDA moments on the carpet. Later on, Markle gave a speech in which she shared some rare comments about their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
“Our children, Archie and Lilibet, are just 6 and 4 years old,” she said. “Can you believe it?”
She went on to discuss their approach to social media as parents. “Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming,” she continued. “Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”
On October 10, Markle gave another speech during an event for the festival. She rewore a favorite blue and white striped Ralph Lauren shirt for occasion, while Harry watched on from the audience.
