ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester DJ Nacht thought he was just making a song to lift his mom’s spirits during cancer treatment, then the upload wasn’t private and the song went viral.

Now, after stepping away to support her, he’s back behind the turntables for the first time in months.

His comeback show at Avenue Pub celebrates resilience, healing, and community through music

His first show back is Friday night at the Avenue Pub on Monroe Ave at 9 p.m., and he says this one hits differently. He will share the stage with Buffalo’s own DJ Jillie Wags for a night that’s about more than just music.

“It’s my first show back from taking time off for mom. It’s me and Buffalo DJ, actually, Jillie Wags, who’s very well known. It’s her first time playing with me and my first time playing here, so it’s gonna be a good night. I’m pretty excited,” said DJ Nacht.

For DJ Nacht this show marks a fresh start — a celebration of recovery, family, and the music that kept him grounded through it all.

Spectrum News reporter Sergio Cruel will have the full story on the viral song on Monday.
