He got away with ‘murder’ in the latest episode of Celebrity Traitors, narrowly avoiding becoming a roundtable target thanks to a whisper campaign spread among his co-stars that he’d been framed.
But Traitor Jonathan Ross has been tipped to have a big secret advantage when it comes to his time on the BBC One gameshow that’s helping him evade detection.
Thanks to his long-running Saturday night talkshow, which launched on ITV back in 2011, Jonathan, 63, has met celebrities from around the world.
And it means that he’s already had plenty of contact outside the walls of Ardross Castle with his fellow Traitors, comedian Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns, before heading on the reality series.
He previously met Cat, 25, when she performed on his show last year, showcasing her new album and performing her single, Alone.
While Alan, 49, has appeared at least four times on the series, first in 2011 and most recently alongside Peter Crouch, Babatunde Aleshe and Andy Serkis in 2023.

Singer Charlotte Church, broadcaster Clare Balding, and comedian Lucy Beaumont have all also featured as guests over the years.
While former rugby player Joe Marler covered Adele’s hit song Someone Like You, serenading the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Eleanor Tomlinson.
Jonathan has also interviewed Paloma Faith, Stephen Fry, and Tom Daley, as well as interviewing Traitors host Claudia, 53, on the BBC’s Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
TV insiders have tipped that this could be helping Jonathan to pull the wool over the eyes of his co-stars, with the BBC suggesting: ‘Having met so many of the contestants beforehand, that could help Ross hide out as a traitor.
‘He may make them feel wrongly at ease around him, and it could also make it easy for him to form alliances.’
The same can be said for fellow Traitor Alan, whose former show Chatty Man featured the likes of broadcaster Stephen, 68, sports presenter Clare, 54, and best friend Paloma, 44.
Stephen also appeared on Alan’s popular podcast, Life’s a Beach, as well as soap actor Mark Bonnar and co-Traitor Cat.
While Faithful Kate Garraway has interviewed Alan on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

Jonathan has been busy killing off his fellow famous players alongside Alan and Cat since the trio were selected as the first ever Celebrity Traitors by Claudia.
So far, Jonathan, Alan and Cat, have managed to send six Faithful celebrities packing from Ardross Castle without being fully rumbled – and no doubt this knowledge of their targets has proved VERY useful.
After killing singer Paloma Faith with a poisoned plant as part of the hit reality series, they went on to murder Tom Daley and Ruth Codd, and saw off Clare Balding, Niko Omilana and Tameka Empson when they were banished.
Jonathan narrowly evaded the attentions of the Faithful, despite former Rugby ace Joe Marler setting his sights on the ‘big dog’ as the Traitors’ leader.
Joe led the charge against Jonathan in the most recent episode, after seeing through his ‘double bluff’ theory, that saw him kill off The Midnight Club star Ruth, 28.
Sitting outside Ardross Castle alongside Traitor Alan, Joe was seen explaining he didn’t buy Jonathan’s act and theorised he’d decided to kill off Ruth to ‘bluff’ his innocence.
His ‘big dog theory’ also saw him speculate that while Jonathan had been picked to be the leading Traitor, broadcaster Stephen was the leading Faithful.
He said: ‘Maybe Claudia picked a war to be had between the Traitor team, led by the big dog – Jonathan – against the Faithful team, led by the Faithful big dog, of Stephen.’

Fans were left furious that Joe’s theory had been ignored by his fellow Faithful celebrities, even after presenting it at the round table.
Viewers compared Joe to series two contestant Jaz, who was nicknamed Jazatha Christie during his time on the show, as he expertly worked out several of the Traitors, but was banished in the final after failing to convince the others.
Following Joe’s rumble, Alan described him and Cat as ‘thick as thieves’, and admitted he would be willing to vote out Jonathan at the roundtable if needs be.
It’s led viewers to suspect that Alan and Cat may be preparing to throw Jonathan under the bus, especially after the duo went on to post a series of social media posts showcasing their close bond following the episode.
Eagle-eyed followers were quick to notice that given their videos don’t feature fellow Traitor Jonathan, it could spell trouble for the presenter.
The Traitors airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One and is available to stream on iPlayer.
