Kicking off the second season of their show, Arrington and Mitchum talked to us concerning the past yr and their newfound fame.

“I mean, I don’t think I’ll ever (get used to it). Maybe that will happen,” Mitchum said. “I imagine loads of people on TV try this. It’s just an interesting feeling whenever you walk down the road and people recognize you.

Arrington talked about getting used to the web chatter surrounding the show, saying he’s learned to “have fun with it.”

“You know, you (have to) take it calmly, and the fact that people are talking about us, in my opinion, shows that they are actually watching us,” he said.

Having one full season of the fact show behind them gave the lads a probability to start out the second with latest intentions. For Arrington, it meant being more vulnerable – “letting go… letting people see me for who I am,” he explained.

“I think there’s beauty in all of us – that we’re all individuals, you know?” he said. “So I think the approach to season two is that I just felt more comfortable being vulnerable.”

For Mitchum, his approach was a bit more practical: “I had to bring more clothes,” he joked. “Even though people were complimenting me, I said, ‘Mmm, I can accomplish that a lot better.’ I do know myself and I can do a lot better!”

On a more serious note, Mitchum did experience a family loss early in the trip that viewers are actively working through this season.

“In many ways, I didn’t even think about coming because I just couldn’t find my own mindset about it,” he said. (*2*)

According to Mitchum, like most reality shows, the second season of “Martha’s House” sees a bit of a change in the friendship dynamics amongst the complete solid.

“As much as you want to make time for everyone, you can’t,” he added, “and you end up being quite accommodating to people you feel you have more in common with. It happens all the time.”

As for what surprised them most concerning the season, Arrington teased the group’s “brutal honesty.”

“We’ll just tell it like it is!” he promissed. “We won’t hold back. I’m not going to second-guess this. There are a lot of blurry moments!”
