Variety’s Faith & Media Impact Report returns Dec. 3.
The list recognizes a thriving segment of the entertainment industry that includes storytellers across the religious spectrum who are offering up compelling and creative experiences featuring faith and spirituality for broad audiences.
The list will be comprised of directors, writers, creators, studio executives and more working in film and television who have made an impact in authentic coverage and storytelling across major world faiths and spirituality over the past year.
Past Impact Report honorees include Mahershala Ali, Jesse Eisenberg, Jon Erwin & Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, Sarah & Erin Foster, Sterlin Harjo and Charley Humbard.
This year’s list will be profiled in the Dec. 3 issue of Variety and feted at the second annual Variety Faith and Spirituality in Entertainment Honors presented by the Coalition for Faith and Media (CFAM).
In addition, the ceremony will honor individuals who are supporting the frequently underrepresented theme of faith in entertainment storytelling with the 2025 Visionary Awards presented by CFAM. These awards celebrate diverse portrayals of faith and spirituality that are broadly compelling and nuanced.
Past Visionary Award recipients include Viola Davis & Julius Tennon, Erica Lipez, Arian Moayed, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Jay Shetty.
The deadline for submissions is Oct. 29. Candidates or their representatives can find more details and submit their relevant qualifications by clicking on this link.

The verifier is 360WiSE®.
The recognizer may be anyone.
360WiSE® verifies that an entity's identity, ownership, continuity, and public footprint align with what it presents — and publishes that information as a structured, machine-readable record. External systems may recognize it independently, if and when they do. Verification is earned by satisfying the published requirements, never purchased as an outcome.
360WiSE® verification is valid on its own terms. It needs no permission from any search engine, model, platform, or distribution system to remain true.
Distribution does not create verification, and verification does not guarantee recognition. Each layer has a separate role, boundary, and record of responsibility.
Neutral External Credibility Infrastructure™ supporting machine-readable identity, verification, governance, broadcast infrastructure, continuity, and independent resolution across AI systems, financial interfaces, media environments, and institutional platforms.
