The rapper hinted at a potential collaboration with his longtime friend and musical collaborator during his record-breaking international tour

A public display of loyalty emerges onstage

Travis Scott made his allegiance clear during a recent performance on his international tour when he took a moment to recognize Kanye West. The Houston rapper referred to the controversial Chicago artist as his brother while suggesting the two might collaborate on something special in the near future.

Video footage from the Oct. 21 concert began circulating online, showing Scott addressing the crowd about his relationship with West. The moment came as Scott continues his massive CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR across Asia and the Middle East, demonstrating that despite the various controversies surrounding West in recent years, Scott remains steadfast in his support.

The public acknowledgment carries additional weight given the scrutiny West has faced over the past several years. Scott’s willingness to openly celebrate their friendship and hint at future work together signals a bond that extends beyond professional collaboration into genuine personal connection.

A creative partnership spanning over a decade

The relationship between Scott and West stretches back more than ten years, marked by numerous musical collaborations that have shaped both artists’ careers. Their work together began in 2012 when Scott contributed production to the GOOD Music compilation album, establishing himself within West’s creative circle.

By 2013, Scott had secured production credits on two tracks from West’s critically acclaimed album Yeezus. He worked on both New Slaves and Guilt Trip, helping craft the experimental and aggressive sound that defined that era of West’s music. These early collaborations helped elevate Scott’s profile in the industry while showcasing his production talents.

The partnership continued evolving over the years. Scott both produced and appeared on Wash Us In The Blood from West’s 2020 album God’s Country. He also contributed to the unreleased Cruel Winter project, appearing on the track Champions, though that compilation never officially saw release.

More recently, Scott included West on his 2023 album Utopia, which has since achieved double platinum certification. The continued collaboration demonstrates an ongoing creative synergy between the two artists despite the changing landscape of both their careers.

Beyond music into personal territory

The connection between Scott and West extends into more personal realms beyond their studio work. A notable incident occurred in 2022 when West found himself unable to locate his youngest daughter’s fourth birthday party. The event was being held by the Kardashian-Jenner family, with whom West shares a complicated history following his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

During that situation, West took to Instagram Live while driving around Los Angeles, expressing frustration about not knowing the party’s location. Scott intervened by providing West with the necessary address and time details, ensuring the father could attend his daughter’s celebration. West later publicly thanked Scott for his assistance, acknowledging the rapper’s role in helping him create that birthday memory with his child.

This moment illustrated how their relationship transcends professional boundaries, with Scott stepping up during a difficult personal situation involving West’s family dynamics.

Breaking records around the globe

While maintaining his friendship with West, Scott has been focused on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR, which continues achieving remarkable success internationally. The tour recently made history in New Delhi at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where Scott performed for more than 125,000 fans across two consecutive nights.

According to Live Nation and BookMyShow, these performances represented the largest rap shows ever held in India and the biggest concerts by a single artist in Delhi’s history. The achievement underscores Scott’s massive global appeal and his ability to draw unprecedented crowds in markets where hip-hop traditionally has had less mainstream presence.

The tour schedule includes upcoming stops in Seoul, Korea, followed by dates in China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates before concluding in Mumbai, India, on Nov. 19. Each performance continues building on Scott’s reputation as one of live music’s most compelling performers.

Recent musical output maintains momentum

Scott’s most recent solo album Utopia arrived in 2023 and has maintained strong commercial performance with its double platinum certification. Beyond his own releases, Scott dropped the Jackboys 2 compilation album in July, featuring artists from his Cactus Jack label including Don Toliver, Sheck Wes and SoFaygo.

The compilation also welcomed contributions from major names including Future, Playboi Carti, Tyla, Vybz Kartel, NBA Youngboy and GloRilla. The diverse roster reflects Scott’s influence across multiple corners of contemporary music and his ability to bring together varied talents.
