(ABC 6 News) — Hundreds of faith leaders from across Minnesota met at the Capitol to launch a week-long action calling for change.
More than 600 clergy leaders are urging lawmakers to pass a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Each day this week, leaders will gather for prayer services to honor victims and survivors of mass shootings.
“Knowing it’s a complex issue, we think there is really a moral imperative to begin to make some progress on some things like high capacity and assault weapons,” said Doug Mork, an associate pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Governor Tim Walz has been considering calling a special session to address Minnesota’s gun laws for over a month.
