WWE utilized celebrity involvement in 2025, bringing in both Travis Scott and musician Jelly Roll for appearances. While Scott’s role was non-physical, Jelly Roll stepped into the squared circle for a full match at SummerSlam 2025. Now, the musician has expressed a desire for a more extended stay in the world of sports entertainment.

Jelly Roll made his WWE debut in the lead-up to SummerSlam 2025, quickly finding himself entangled in a rivalry with Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. This conflict set the stage for a tag team match at the August premium live event. Jelly Roll teamed up with WWE veteran Randy Orton to face McIntyre and Paul.

Although Jelly Roll and Orton were ultimately unsuccessful in securing the victory, Roll’s performance in the match received positive attention. His showing might have prompted WWE to consider him for future involvement beyond a one-off appearance.

During a conversation with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Jelly Roll discussed his brief WWE experience. He revealed that he is interested in pursuing a more substantial run with the company in the future.

“I don’t know. I don’t really know what I want, I just know that I need to,” Jelly Roll stated regarding his future wrestling aspirations. He outlined what his ideal scenario would look like: “A dream scenario is, I’d like to get involved for a run. I’d like to wrestle every Friday. I’d like to get involved for a six to nine-month run.”

Reflecting on his SummerSlam match, Roll expressed a feeling common among performers – the desire to improve upon past performances. “I definitely have to do one more. It’s like anything else in life, you do once and you think you were prepared, but you leave there and all I could think about was everything I could have done a little better.”

Interestingly, Jelly Roll had previously shared that he specifically asked to be on the losing end of the SummerSlam tag team match. He explained that he wanted to subvert the common trope of celebrities winning their matches in WWE, aiming to change that narrative by taking the pinfall himself.

While Jelly Roll contemplates a potential six-to-nine-month WWE run, the company is focused on its next major event, Survivor Series: WarGames, on November 29th in San Diego. His SummerSlam partner, Randy Orton, remains active on the SmackDown brand, as does one of his opponents, Drew McIntyre, who recently challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

There is currently no indication that Jelly Roll will be involved in Survivor Series or the WarGames matches, but his expressed interest leaves the door open for a return down the line, potentially reigniting his connection with Orton or his rivalries with McIntyre or Paul.
